How can saving be sexy!?

Around the Rize office, we’re always saying “make saving sexy” — but what in the world does it actually mean? It all started with something we heard from Ashton Kutcher — as most profoundly sexy things do. He says,

“the sexiest thing in the entire world is being really smart.”

As a team, we took that to heart and made it our mission. When you really think about it, what is sexier than having your shit together? Saving isn’t just about stashing cash; it says something about who you are as a person. Frankly, it says you are smart. You’re the kind of person who is always thinking ahead, who is striving to make your dreams a reality, who is smart — and that is sexy.

Maybe you’re like me, fresh out of college, hauling ass at the best job ever (no, I didn’t get paid to say that), and on the hunt for “the one.” How much more attractive is someone with a steady job, an apartment (preferably with a puppy), and the means to go on interesting dates? We’re talking about life partners here; I’m not trying to carry the team on my back forever.

You might be in a totally different chapter in your story. You’ve been working for a while, you’re married, you’re starting to talk about finally building that dream house, having a kid, or going on an exotic vacation. Maybe you don’t need major savings to get it done, but having some extra cash gives you the opportunity to do a little extra. Maybe start that college fund early, add that personal touch to your house, or splurge on first class tickets. Getting smart about saving means you can afford to get sexy with spending.

Regardless of where you are in life, or what your savings account looks like today, there is always an opportunity to be better, to be smarter, to be sexy. It doesn’t have to be hard, it shouldn’t spark uncomfortable conversations, and it most definitely doesn’t have to be intimidating.

If being sexy just isn’t your thing, we get it. But for those of you who are ready to get financially fit — we’re talking Kayla Itsines level beach bod here — it’s time to get going. Being sexy has never been so simple. (No, really, we designed it for millennials, it’s so simple.)
